OK I think I understand what's going on here, and it's probably down to
a misunderstanding on my part.

To me the list is the HPR parliament where we take policy decisions.
When someone asks "is it ok if I do ${something}" on the list, then I
interpret that to mean "is it ok if I do ${something} to all
shows/website". So apologies for thinking this discussion was about
*all* shows. I can now understand Ivan's frustration.

Remember if you want to experiment with your *own* show, go ahead you
don't need anyone's permission. You will need to supply the prepared
media files and tell us at upload that it needs to be handled
differently. If it doesn't play then the worst that happens is that
listeners didn't hear your show. If you really want to go out there and
try absolutely every feature then it would make sense to plan you show
for after the community news, where you can inform the listeners what's
coming down the pike. Then they are aware if they miss a show, and can
provide feedback. I am very supportive of this.

On a related note:
What are the requirements to get access to the hpr virtual private server ?
- - you are part of the HPR "web of trust"
- - you want to work on something for the community

What are the requirements to become a HPR admin ?
- - you are part of the HPR "web of trust"
- - you can dedicate the time to the job
- - StankDwag and Josh are ok with it.

That's it.
