[Hpr] Hacker Public Radio booth at Northeast Linux Fest

Hi, folks. I've paid the small fee to secure a table at the Northeast
GNU/Linux Fest <http://www.northeastlinuxfest.org>, on April 2nd 2011 in
Worcester MA. I'd like to know if anybody is interested in representing HPR
with me. This is the inaugural NELF, and i think it would be great to say we
were there.

I'd prefer not to sit there by myself, so if no one is interested, I'll open
the invitation to other Linux oggcasts, and podcasts. I may do that anyway,
depending on what you all think of that.

I have two ideas so far, and I'm open to all suggestions (including
scrapping either or both ideas). The first is that I'd like to have a
computer or two there that we could use to show people how to record and
edit a podcast. I may be able to provide one laptop, but I'm not sure yet if
it's up to the task as it is very old. The second is that I'd like to hand
out oval stickers, like the ones you see on cars, that say HPR on them. I've
gotten a quote and a sample of these from
stickercafe.com<http://www.stickercafe.com>(please see attachment),
but I can't figure out how to; a.) recoup the cost,
or b.) justify the expense with my wife. I probably should state here that
I'm not actually looking for advise on option b. :p
Here's the relevant excerpt of what I was quoted:

Pack of 10 3x5 Ovals ($21.95)
Pack of 15 3x5 Ovals ($31.95)
 Pack of 20 3x5 Ovals ($38.95)
Pack of 25 3x5 Ovals ($44.95)
Pack of 50 3x5 Ovals ($59.95)
Pack of 100 3x5 Ovals ($89.95)

If anybody knows how to get this done cheaper, I'm all ears. If anybody
wants to contribute to stickers, please let me know, and I'll be sure you
get one too. The other thought I had was that maybe we could sell another
sticker of a more general Linux interest to cover the cost of handing out
the HPR stickers. My thought was the same oval but with SU on it instead of
HPR. I'm not married to the idea of selling anything though.

Ken Fallon has suggested that we could hand out business cards. At the very
least, I'll make fliers with pull tabs. But I think, as a community, we can
come up with something better than that. If someone with talent wants to
mock those up that would be great. IMHO anything we use or hand out should
have a human readable url, and a phone readable Semacode or QR code of the
rss feed.

I'd love to hear what people think of this.
